Zee Plan...

I "plan" to post at least once a week now... maybe twice if you're lucky. I might post random stuff that doesn't matter sometimes, but we'll see.

POSTING DAYS ARE MONDAYS because most people spend their Monday's reading stuff on the internet any way.

And another thing about living in a small town: The temp agency lady remembers what you were like when you played softball

Cause you played softball with her when you were in the seventh and eighth grade. Yep, I went for a temp interview because at this point I want SOME money coming, irregardless of it being temp agency money or not.

I do not fault those of us that temp it. In fact most of the jobs that I've had that I really, really liked were found for me through a temp agency. People are generally nice to you and they don't expect you to be a super genius either, because you're a temp. So it's easier to inspire them with just how much of a genius you actually are.

Anyway, lady who interviewed me for a temp job turned out to be girl I used to play softball with. She didn't even ask my name when I walked in the door, just said "how's your family? Oh you had a baby? I have three." We did the quick set up interview, what I'm interested in, what I'm hoping to find etc. etc. Then she let me know that several of the positions I was actually interested in were the ones that had "the most applicants" and I thought "Freaking recession!"

She then started telling me about the last 10 years of her life and included asking me about my cousins and a few of my other family members. And you'd think this in would guarantee me a job... but I suppose in life there are no guarantees.

Which sucks... but we press on.
