Zee Plan...

I "plan" to post at least once a week now... maybe twice if you're lucky. I might post random stuff that doesn't matter sometimes, but we'll see.

POSTING DAYS ARE MONDAYS because most people spend their Monday's reading stuff on the internet any way.

Dear Lord: Vee wants to start a non profit that like totally helps people and I am DVR'ing The Hills

and sadly, I just had this conversation with Vee (via Gmail Chat)

Me: If you could do anything right now (job wise), if someone came to you and said "create your perfect job"...

Vee: Working with diverse communities to improve lives, environment and make positive change. Working half time in office other half out in the communities; flexible schedule; comfortable pay with bonuses for making things happen

Me: So you really do wanna start your own non profit.

Vee: I also want to have a private for profit business - not quite sure what (on the side that is)something that will assure that my non-profit org will always have plenty of funding. I just want to have fun and make a difference.

I think my for profit business I want on the side is something to do with the travel industry. I'm not sure but I do like tourism and I think other business people in the tourism industry need smart people who think about the host communities and their sensitive environment...like an ecotourism or heritage travel company.

Me: So it'd be like "alternative spring break" for world travelers...

Vee: Exactly. All the fun while making a difference - that's really all anyone wants for a job!!

*Pause*

Vee: You?

Me: Sadly, I want my life to be a reality television show... but with heart and soul and intelligence. I want to be the thinking woman's Lauren Conrad. All the fashion and partying, none of the stupidness. Well okay, some of the stupidness.

Vee: Sounds like a plan to me.

The Hills premieres tonight, apparently it's on my brain. I have now brought myself to a new low... the thinking woman's Lauren Conrad... did I just write that?!

I totally did.
