So we headed out for a happy hour night at Rocky's with Vee and her friend from work. Got ourselves a center table, ordered some beer and sat and talked about all the important things one should talk about when they are chillin' at the bar.
Politics and Britney.
What else is there in the world?
It was my first night "out" in San Diego and the first night out in a long time since Baby blessed us with her presence (currently she is in her high chair spreading yogurt around on her chest... a statement about the political unrest in Darfur? Perhaps she is a performance artist in the making) so I was picking out just the right outfit for a bar that serves only burgers, beer and wine. I kept asking Husband what looked good and he kept telling me everything looked good (because he loves me and because I spend an inordinate amount of time lately in yoga pants and tshirts) and I kept putting on those really cute wedge heeled shoes wishing I had occasion to strut around without having to be pushing a stroller at the same time.
In the end we went the old black shirt, black boots and jeans combo which never goes wrong, fixed the hair and the makeup and waved goodbye to Baby, who barely even noticed I was out the door as she was busy trying to see just how many cherrios she can fit into her mouth.
Out and about proves to be just what it once was, finding parking, surveying the room, telling stories about how tired you get at midnight (wait, that's different). I am constantly watching the people around me, those that are on dates, those that are looking for dates and us, who believe that Britney Spears needs to just buck up and get some help. We had a good time and some really good burgers.
At the end of our few hours out I was ready to get home, not because it's more exciting to watch re-runs of Project Runway... well wait... maybe a little.
Next up, we plan to go dancing...
Zee Plan...
I "plan" to post at least once a week now... maybe twice if you're lucky. I might post random stuff that doesn't matter sometimes, but we'll see.
POSTING DAYS ARE MONDAYS because most people spend their Monday's reading stuff on the internet any way.
