Seems to be the general concern of many (well my mother and Husband, respectively) as my old life in San Diego was pretty much me, me, me and now I have this little person running around behind me going "Mom, Mom, Mom."
And I think "come on people, gimme a little credit." It's not like I'm planning to be out every Friday and Saturday, okay and Wednesday and Thursday nights. It's not like I look at the little girls teetering down the street and think "man do I miss that" (uncomfortable shoes, overdone hair, click, click, click).
But aren't we (women of today) supposed to shoot for having it all? Look at this lady on The View today (yes I watched The View today, I'm job searching, watching The View is what job searing people DO) she was the president of some kind of something for Disney and when Barbara introduced her she was sure to include that she "has kids, a husband, and it all."
She has it all. And she gets to sit and watch the ladies of The View discuss being on "top of the hill (not Hillary)."
The point is, we can do it all, and so if my "all" includes a night out with my friends here and there, then so be it... Mom.
Before she left my mother also told me I need to "take some time to mourn my old life, let it go and then you will be able to see how special your new life is."
Who's mourning, lets party!
Kidding... totally kidding.
I'm KIDDING.
Life now is its own party... just with less drunk people.
