Yesterday Husband Forgot Baby At Day Care: though he says "I didn't forget, had I been awake I would have totally picked her up!"

Yep, dude done slept through picking his only daughter up from day care.

You know how you never want to be the kid that's last picked up from school? That feeling as you're sitting outside and everyone's Mom/Dad is pulling up in the car and your friends are waving "later loser!" and you wait and the day becomes a scene out of a western when the streets go empty and the tumbleweeds tumble?

Yeah, so, I totally didn't want Baby to ever have to go through that.

She didn't (fortunately) but when I called Husband yesterday do see how everything was going and to let him know I'd be home late he groggily said "so I'm on my way to get her now."

"Now?"

"My alarm didn't go off. I laid down for a nap and it didn't go off."

"You forgot our baby?"

"I didn't forget her, had I been awake I would have totally remembered to go and get her."

"You forgot our baby."

"If that's how it has to go down on the blog, then I guess, whatever, I forgot our baby, even though I was asleep..."

She was peeved when she got home. She was in a mood, with 'tude. I, being that wife that I am, took ample opportunity to wonder aloud if it was because she was forgotten at day care.

Because that's what wives do...
