And while I really, really, really want to go I'm wavering as I have now been told by two people that I have to call the IMAX people and ask them if it is okay for me to take Baby with me.
Part of me (the part of me that works for lawyers) thinks it's a dumb question because there is no way they could expressly deny me non entrance (nor Baby for that matter) as I could get completely offended, call foul and SUE. Plus the museum of reference... is pretty kid friendly itself and why shouldn't Baby be able to enjoy a Grand Canyon adventure like everyone else. We want to expose her to educational and thought provoking cinema... it's not all just Baby Einstein.
Another part of me (the once single gal part) thinks "why do people even bring babies to movies? I mean how dumb is that? Babies do not want to go watch movies and it just ruins the experience for the rest of us because the baby spends the whole time making those stupid baby noises and demanding all the baby attention. GRRR on families and married people and babys!"
And still another part of me (the oddly, schizophrenic, OCD, phobia part) thinks "I'll call and ask this question and they will think I'm so dumb, so, so dumb. And they will wonder why I have to ask such a question when it's supremely obvious that yes you can bring babies into a theatre but WHY WOULD YOU! DON'T YOU HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR THE YOUNG, SINGLE PEOPLE WITHOUT BABIES?!!" And then when I walk in to the theatre they'll know it was me that asked, cause I'll be the only person with said baby and I'll be ridiculed and sneared at and then strung up outside the theatre as an example for those who ruin perfectly good IMAX experiences.... (and then I'll sue).
But both Vee and Husband said I have to call and find out and I'm wavering, figuring later I'll just lie and said I forgot, or I'll say they said yes (and then we get there and they won't let us in) or I'll say they said no (and then Husband has to be left out of said activity or we have to leave Baby with some stranger whilst we go enjoy a movie when we could have all just gone to the movie in the first place).
And now that I've let you all in to the craziness that is me (and made you realize what a good, kind man Husband is... because he finds this all endearing and cute...):
If anyone feels like calling: (619) 238-1233...
