Lets ask Google (I ask Google everything you know. Say I'm at a loss for what I should do with my life, I just say "Hey Google, what should I do with my life?" And Google tells me to get back to work and/or to work at Google).
Google says: The idea of daylight saving was first conceived by Benjamin Franklin during his sojourn as an American delegate in Paris in 1784, in an essay, "An Economical Project."
Benjamin Franklin, you're on my list (yeah, yeah we get more daylight hours outside of the office but COME ON, you're talking to the world's worst morning person. Actually, the worlds second worst morning person because I went and had a baby and that baby, she don't do mornings, no way, no how).
