Zee Plan...

I "plan" to post at least once a week now... maybe twice if you're lucky. I might post random stuff that doesn't matter sometimes, but we'll see.

POSTING DAYS ARE MONDAYS because most people spend their Monday's reading stuff on the internet any way.

Headed to Mission Bay Park with Lo: suffered in the wind but still had a nice time

Lo and I have been friends since the start of high school, so it's been A WHILE (not like decades, but one day... decades). In fact the last time I lived in San Diego I was living with Lo, in a two bedroom apartment four blocks from the beach. We were two girls about town, evidenced by the fact that the blog we kept about our adventures was named... BEST of MSN.

Yep, we ruled. People liked our stories about getting lost and being too stubborn to ask for directions, or buying a fireman (for charity). And in the end when I up and moved, got married and had a baby, it was Lo that I talked to every single day (or there abouts, we write A LOT OF EMAIL).

So it was good to see her, what with life keeping us so busy, even just a few hours sitting on some grass at Mission Bay Park, talking about WHY we haven't read Eat, Pray, Love yet, it was nice.

(AND FYI: I haven't read Eat, Pray, Love yet because it just seems to obvious. All the famous people tell US Magazine (I have read US Magazine, sadly) that they are reading Eat, Pray, Love and Oprah has decided it's just the greatest book ever and so I've just put it off. I JUST got around to reading The Kiterunner, which Baby and I are STILL trying to finish. Lo has a lot of other reading to do too...)

It was funny, right after I had Baby the first person I wanted to see was Lo. And she came for a visit when baby was still young and we managed to get away for a good few hours, just the two of us. And that's when you start to remember... and you go "wow we've been through a lot together."

And now wherever we go, there we are.

I'd like to tell you something deep and meaningful happened while we were at the park, but it was just a park day with a very cool breeze. Baby spent her time crawling around the grass, picking up sticks and trying to eat them and Lo and I talked.

Which is just the way it should be.
